BS EN 2240-005 is a European Standard on incandescent lamps. 

The BS EN 2240 series focuses on requirements for incandescent lamps for aerospace applications.  Incandescent lamps are used majorly in aircraft engine applications. They are installed to provide vision in no light zones.   BS EN 2240-005 is the fifth part of the series. 

BS EN 2240-005 specifies the required characteristics for a lamp, code 73, for aerospace applications. BS EN 2240-005 shall be used together with EN 2756.    

BS EN 2240-005 has been prepared by the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe - Standardization (ASD-STAN).
