BS EN 3155-005 is an international standard for aerospace series that specifies the required characteristics and tests which are applicable to female electrical contacts 005, type A, crimp, class T for aerospace applications.
BS EN 3155-005 shall be used together with EN 3155-001. The associated male contacts are defined in EN 3155-004. The contacts defined by BS EN 3155-005 are not applicable for EN 2997 classes KV, SV, KF and SF defined in (EN 2997-002).
BS EN 3155‑005 on female electrical contacts for aerospace is applicable to:
Female contact is used for electrical, physical, or data transfer and is generally a receptacle that receives and holds the male contact.
Female contacts are used for fixed mounting on electronic equipment because female contacts are more resistant to damage or contamination. BS EN 3155-005 helps you as a design engineer in designing electrical contacts as per specifications and enhances the reliability of your products.
BS EN 3155-005 assists aerospace industries as well as testing agencies in making and testing aerospace products with respect to proper dimensions, surface treatment, and alloy.
By adopting BS EN 3155-005, you can demonstrate the reliability of female electrical contacts 005, type A, crimp, class T and build trust in its use throughout the aerospace supply chain.
