BS EN 4539‑2 is part two of a multiseries of european standards on aerospace series that covers inch series of bearing, spherical, plain, in corrosion resisting steel with self-lubricating liner.
BS EN 4539‑2 specifies the characteristics of spherical plain bearing in corrosion resistant steel, with self-lubricating liner, wide series, elevated load under low oscillations applications.
Note: They shall be used in the temperature range −55 °C to 163 °C.
BS EN 4539‑2 on aerospace - spherical plain bearing is useful for:
Spherical Plain Bearings (also known as “Spherical Plane Bearings” "Spherical Ball Bushing Bearings" and “Ball Bushings”) have an inner ring with a sphere convex outside surface and an outer ring with a correspondingly sphere, but concave inside surface.
Among the aerospace applications in which our bearings are used are aircraft landing gear struts, or shock absorbers, where they eliminate ladder cracking and heat damage on the strut rod surface.
With the use of BS EN 4539‑2 you get to know the characteristics of spherical plain bearing in corrosion resistant steel, with self-lubricating liner which can be very helpful for use in aerospace applications.
