BS EN 61800-7-301 is a part of the BS EN 61800 series of international standards that discusses the interface and use of profiles for power drive systems. A Power Drive Unit is used to convert electrical or hydraulic power into mechanical motion (often rotary) and drive a mechanical actuation system.
BS EN 61800-7-301 specifies the mapping of the profile type 1 (CiA 402) specified in IEC 61800-7-201 onto different network technologies.

BS EN 61800-7-301 specifies the mapping of the CiA 402 drive profile onto the CANopen network. In particular, the process data object (PDO) communication and mapping parameters are defined. Communication objects for real-time data transmission are mapped to process data object messages (PDOs). COBs for configuration data transmission are mapped to service data object message(s) (SDO). COBs for emergency information transmission are mapped to emergency messages (EMCY).
