ISO 11339 is an international organisation for standardization that specifies a Tpeel test for the determination of the peel resistance of an adhesive by measuring the peeling force of a Tshaped bonded assembly of two flexible adherends.
This test procedure does not provide design information.
Note 1: The method in ISO 11339 was originally developed for use with metal adherends but other, flexible, adherends can also be used.
Note 2: Persons using ISO 11339 should be familiar with normal laboratory practice, if applicable. ISO 11339 does not purport to address all of the safety problems, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of any regulatory conditions prior to use.
ISO 11339 on T-peel test for flexible to flexible bonded assemblies is useful for:
These tests are tools for quality assurance control and use, the benefit of performing objective, accurate and repeatable peeling testing can improve product consistency and assess interface adhesion.
ISO 11339 provides its users with the general principle, apparatus, test specimens, procedure, expression of results, and precision.
Using ISO 11339 guidelines ensures quality assurance, efficiency, and performance for its users.
