BS EN 356:2000 Glass in building. Security glazing. Testing and classification of resistance against manual attack

BS EN 356:2000 specifies requirements and test methods for security glazing designed to resist actions of force by delaying access of objects and/or persons to a protected space for a short period of time. This European standard classifies security glazing products into categories of resistance to actions of force.

BS 1096 Series Glass in building. Coated glass

The BS 1096 series overs characteristics, classification, and test methods of coated glass for use in buildings. These standards can be applied to all coated glass for glazing application for use in normally occupied domestic or commercial premises.

BS ISO 11485 Series Glass in building. Curved glass

The BS ISO 11485 series specifies terminology and definitions, quality requirements, and safety requirements for curved glass used in general building construction, furniture, display, and various other non-automotive applications.

BS EN 12758:2019 Glass in building. Glazing and airborne sound insulation. Product descriptions, determination of properties and extension rules

BS EN 12758:2019 deals with the determination and assessment of sound insulation performances of all transparent, translucent, and opaque glass products, described in the European Standards for basic, special basic, or processed glass products, when intended to be used in glazed assemblies in buildings, and which exhibit properties of acoustic protection, either as a prime intention or as a supplementary characteristic.

BS 6262 Series Glazing for buildings

The BS 6262 series outlines the requirements for glazing in critical locations. These requirements include a general methodology for glazing selection, safety relating to human impact, the provision of information, a code of practice for energy, light, and sound, as well as other key areas.

BS ISO 3009:2003 Fire resistance tests. Elements of building construction. Glazed elements

BS ISO 3009:2003 provides a test method for determining and assessing the fire resistance performance of both insulated and uninsulated glazed elements of building construction when those elements are exposed to heating on one face.
