BS EN 10025 is a series of European standards on structural steel that discusses the best procedures and specifications required for manufacturing high-quality steel and steel products. BS EN 10025‑5 is the fifth part of a series of documents on structural steel. BS EN 10025‑5 specifies technical delivery conditions for flat and long products of hot rolled steels with improved atmospheric corrosion resistance in the grades and qualities given in Tables 2 and 3 (chemical composition) and Tables 4 and 5 (mechanical properties) in the usual delivery conditions as given in 6.3.
The thicknesses in which products of the steel grades and qualities specified in this document can be supplied are given in Table 1.
BS EN 10025‑5 on hot rolled products of structural steels is relevant to:
Structural steel is a category of steel used for making construction materials in a variety of shapes. Many structural steel shapes take the form of an elongated beam having a profile of a specific cross-section.
BS EN 10025‑5 provides guidance on the manufacturing process, chemical composition, mechanical properties, weldability, surface properties, dimensions, tolerances on dimensions, shape, and mass of structural steels. BS EN 10025‑5 specify tests to be carried out for inspection steel which helps you to maintain the quality of steel. BS EN 10025‑5 exemplifies the required mechanical property and chemical property that helps you achieve precision in terms of product functionality.
As a user of BS EN 10025‑5, you can be ensured of all the properties of structural steels with improved atmospheric corrosion resistance. With obedience and compliance to BS EN 10025‑5, you can efficiently manufacture high-quality corrosion-resistant structural steels. BS EN 10025‑5 helps you to build consumer trust and confidence in the product. With BS EN 10025‑5 you can be ensured that the products consistently meet and exceed quality assurance targets
BS EN 10025‑5:2019 supersedes BS EN 10025‑5:2004, which is withdrawn.
