BS EN 10025-1 doesn’t apply to coated products or to steel products used in general structural applications.
BS EN 10025-1 looks at the classification and designations of these steel products. It explains the manufacturing process, steelmaking and delivery conditions. The standard also shares the requirements for the chemical composition and mechanical properties of steel products. Other topics covered are inspection, sampling and various test methods, including impact, tensile and yield tests.
