This British Standard is the UK implementation of EN ISO 15087:2025. It is identical to ISO 15087:2025. It supersedes BS EN ISO 15087‑6:2000, BS EN ISO 15087‑2:2000, BS EN ISO 15087‑4:2000, BS EN ISO 15087‑3:2000, BS EN ISO 15087‑5:2000 and BS EN ISO 15087‑1:2001, which are withdrawn.

The UK participation in its preparation was entrusted to Technical Committee CH/106, Dentistry.

A list of organizations represented on this committee can be obtained on request to its committee manager.

This document (EN ISO 15087:2025) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 106 "Dentistry" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 55 “Dentistry” the secretariat of which is held by DIN.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2026, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by April 2026.

Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.

This first edition cancels and replaces ISO 15087‑1, ISO 15087‑2, ISO 15087‑3, ISO 15087‑4, ISO 15087‑5, ISO 15087‑6, which have been technically revised.

The main changes compared to the previous editions are as follows:

ISO 15087‑1, ISO 15087‑2, ISO 15087‑3, ISO 15087‑4, ISO 15087‑5 and ISO 15087‑6 have been merged into one document;
the document has been harmonized with ISO 4865‑1;
a requirement for reprocessing has been added to 5.7;
ISO 15087‑1:1999, Annexes A, B, C and D have been deleted.
